Personality:

Growing up, Sana felt unloved, unappreciated, and unwanted. While there was a hint of a stable life with her first father, by the time mom married dad number two, things were clearly going to hell in a handbasket. It was like drowning with no one bothering to lend a hand. Instead of creating resentment towards her family, however, the verbal, mental, and emotional abuse caused her to see herself as the problem. After all, the proof was in front of her – her smarter brothers had perfect grades and she didn’t, so when they called her stupid and not worth helping, why wouldn’t it be true? With this day to day treatment, Sana lost out on a lot of “normal” family interactions. For example, by the time the events of the game roll around, she’s utterly clueless as to why people enjoy Christmas, because she has difficulty grasping the idea of families enjoying time together.

Yet despite all the insults and neglect given her way, Sana grew up with a good heart. As a result of her abuse, she never wants others to feel the way she’s felt. An example of this can be found when she made her first friend in school. When said was forced to choose between her and other children due to bullying, and chose the latter, Sana didn’t resent her for it. In fact, she understood it completely, even if it broke her even further. She doesn’t feel she’s worth fighting for, and has nothing to offer others. This was a big factor in her wish – if nobody needs her, why should anyone know she’s there? But it didn’t take her long to regret this wish, as while she doesn’t feel she deserves love and kindness, she does crave it. She also continues to give it, even in the most unusual circumstances. Befriending, and naming, the Rumor AI, was something no other Magical Girl had ever done before. Not only that, but the kindness she showed AI was enough to make AI turn against their creators and help free Sana. As of yet, not even the creators of these rumors have such emotional control over them. This says that Sana’s compassion is unbreakable, even when she feels at her lowest.

Upon living with Iroha, Yachiyo, and Felicia, Sana began to live as a normal little girl should, and as a result, began to find strength to fight for herself and protect others. She still has massive amounts of self-loathing, but not enough to make her back away from a fight when her friends need her. In addition, she was allowed to experience “normal family things”, like a happy family dinner, going shopping together, etc. This did wonders for her mental health, like allowing her to accept she could speak up when she wanted something. She’ll still hesitate before doing so, but it being an option at all is a huge step forward.

The current Sana Futaba can be a bit of a downer, seeing all the negative options first, but that’s mostly when she’s by herself or with strangers. But when she’s with people she cares about, hope can flicker in her chest. Her friends are the reason she can keep living, and give her a reason to keep moving forward. She’s also very shy around new people, and it may take a little while for the emotional shield to be lowered before she can trust them. Part of her still expects to be treated like a worthless idiot, but once someone proves they want her around and trust her, she’ll accept them into her life.

One of the most frequent things she does is apologize - apologize for being worthless, apologize for being in the way, apologize for apologizing., etc. As a result she often has to be reassured that these things aren't true. If the person she's with is new to her, she doesn't believe them right away and just assumes they want her to be quiet. However, the closer they become to her, the more she'll believe them and her apologies happen far less.

Abilities/Powers/Weaknesses & Warping:
- Telepathy with other Magical Girls.
- Ability to sense Witches/high concentrations of magic, such as other Magical Girls.
- Magical Girl form allows more strength/speed.
- Abilities specific to her own Magical Girl form are invisibility, and summoning her shield. Aside from striking others with said shield, the shield can open up and release a spiked ball, a pendulum, moving pliers, and spiked chains. (Not all at once, it’s one of them or nothing.) WARP FACTOR : If done too much, the exposed weaponry will back and strike her instead.
- When gathering enough energy, she can perform a very powerful move called ‘Torture Prison’, where several of the ‘torture devices’ within the shield come out in a flurry to attack. WARP FACTOR: Same as above!
- In combat, she can share some of her magic in order to boost their defenses. WARP FACTOR: In return for her ally's defense being risen, she will take the damage meant for them. For example - ally is hit by a fire attack, Sana is the one to get a burn.
- Using too much of her magic will darken her Soul Gem – when it’s completely darkened and she’s out of magic, she could turn into a Witch, a destructive monster that has to be put down like a rabid dog.
- Being too far away from her Soul Gem will render her in a comatose state. Also, destroying the Soul Gem will kill her.

NOTE: Typically, as a result of her wish, she’s invisible to everyone but other Magical Girls, and can only become invisible to them by using her power to do so. However, seeing as that would make roleplaying… pretty much impossible, I’m requesting that as a result of being “nerfed/warped”, she’s visible to everyone except when she directly uses that power to become invisible on purpose.

What themes of horror/psychological thrillers do you enjoy the most?: I enjoy the “tempted to the dark side” kind of deal, where even the nicest characters are forced to admit there are parts of them they’re terrified about the rest of the world knowing. For example, when it comes to Sana Futaba, she has a fascination with medieval torture instruments, with it being subtly hinted at that she’d like to torture her family.
Is there anything in particular you absolutely need specific content warnings for?: Rape and anything related to that.
